Compress your Slidesgo templates for smaller footprint
Google Slides templates that you can find online use a lot of images, not optimized. Beautiful for the eyes, sad for the resources it takes to manipulate them (storage, indexing, caching…).
(because, yes, it’s in the cloud, but the cloud is very much on earth, served by very touchable — energy consuming — devices)
I asked ChatGPT to give me 3 keywords so I can find 3 Google Slides templates on Slidesgo (same company than Flaticon — Freepik — very useful to build nice-looking presentations) and see if we can compress them, using Boa Compress. (the answer is yes, a lot!)

Working on a completely different project here in La Réunion, I actually used another template not so long ago, and it’s way better to illustrate the power of Boa Compress.
- Size before: 128.1Mb (waaaay too big)
- Exec: 38 images in 86 slides
- Size after: 21.8 Mb (👏 17% of original !)
You’re just a couple of clicks ago from an optimized usage of Google Drive :-)
